Please read the below FAQs and if you can't find the answer to your question, please email us.

Which payment options does backgroundchecks.com accept?

We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA for online orders.

Does backgroundchecks.com collect tax?

We currently charge and collect sales tax for purchases made by residents of Texas.

Can I cancel the order I just placed?

Unfortunately we are unable to cancel the report, because it fulfills and processes instantly.

Can I get a refund?

backgroundchecks.com enforces a no refund policy. This includes but is not limited to: mistakes or erroneous information provided by the user on the order form as submitted after the user has confirmed the information and acknowledged these terms, even if your criminal record search or driving record report results in "0 records found" or a record has incorrect information.

Every search that is processed through our systems incurs fixed and variable costs for our organization. Whether the search results yield hundreds of offense records or details, or none at all, orders are fulfilled using the same rigorous standards and processes. Due to the variations in coverage across state and county jurisdictions, backgroundchecks.com strongly encourages you to review the sources before completing your order. backgroundchecks.com cannot be held responsible for records that are not included in our coverage.

I failed the online identity verification and can’t access the report and would like a refund?

To ensure that only you can retrieve a criminal report or driving record report about yourself, backgroundchecks.com uses an online identity verification system, which may use a knowledge based authentication process to verify your identity. A refund will not be issued for a failed or abandoned online identity verification. Failed attempts will require manual identity verification before we can release the report to you. Failed or abandoned manual verifications do not qualify you for a refund. Once your identity has been verified your report will delivered automatically into your account.
