ClearChecks is building an industry leading cloud-based HR onboarding platform.  We provide background screening, motor vehicle records, verifications of employment, education, and drug testing for small business to large enterprises.  We are mission driven to build the easiest self-serve solution for companies through our user friendly application UX or through our developer friendly API and low-code integrations.

We are disrupting the industry with our modern technology, streamlined workflow, automations, and integrations with 3rd party HR platforms (ATS, HCM, HRIS).

What you’ll be doing:

• Turn our vision into a tangible technology roadmap every quarter by working with other developers, product managers and senior leadership.

• Illustrating your ideas through hands-on coding and mentor senior developers to solve unique engineering challenges

• Research and lead development of customer facing applications and internal tools across the organization.

• Hire and mentor a team of developers, establish best practices, and scale our agile and fast-paced development.

What we look for in you:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a lead engineering role developing web apps and shipped a scalable growth SaaS or B2B application.

• You follow current trends and best practices in modern framework architecture, including performance, security and usability.

• You’re familiar with product and design lifecycles, and collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.

• You demand high quality and well tested code to meet the needs of internal and external customers.

• A bias for action and ability to maintain a fast paced environment

Nice to haves:

• You’ve led an engineering team and grown it from 2-5 to 20+ developers, devops, and cloud engineers.

• You have experience scaling a LAMP stack with a PHP framework like Laravel, Symphony, or Zend.
