Driving Record Report
1-3 Days

backgroundchecks.com can provide driving records from all 50 states + Washington DC and Puerto Rico with instant results available for all but five of those. Examples of states where we can provide instant results are Alabama, Florida, Texas and Virginia. These reports can include records of driving while intoxicated, revoked license, accidents, and minor traffic violations. Because driving records are held in state bureaus and have access to all counties in the state and sometimes other states, they can be very useful for safety screening.

What special restrictions apply?
Before you can order a driving record, your account has to be approved for driving record report searches. The approval process can take up to 3 business days to verify all required business information you will be asked to submit, including business or insurance license information and may include an onsite inspection. In addition, the following states require you to provide signed state specific forms: Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington.

What is the scope of the driving record report?
Unless otherwise specified and an additional fee is paid, some states limit the driving records to 3 years. Some states assess fees for accessing driving records and we pass these fees to you without a mark-up.

What information may be reported on a driving record report?
Information returned may include:
  • Suspensions
  • Violations
  • Driving Status
  • Points
  • Fines
  • Violation Codes
  • License Classification
  • Endorsements

Do take into account that while our goal is to update our instant database with new counties and new county records regularly, it is possible that a traditional on-premise court house search would provide more up-to-date information and could, for example, show that a criminal record with a pending case status in our instant data base has been recently dismissed.
